zayn leaves one direction
(beware: this is slightly dramatic and 100% embarrassing)
On Wednesday March 25th, 2015 a tragedy happened. Zayn Malik, 1/5 of One Direction, quit the band.
If you look at the occurrence from different perspectives, it can be good or bad. MOSTLY BAD.
Zayn’s perspective: For the
this is my room lol |
BUT THE PERKS WAYYYYY OUTWEIGHT THE CONS BECAUSE HE HAS EARNED MILLIONS OF DOLLARS, ACQUIRED WORLD FAME, ACHIEVED A POP STAR STATUS, TRAVELLED THE WORLD, AND CAN BASICALLY DO ANYTHING HE WANTS AND GET AWAY WITH IT.
Fellow One Direction members’ perspective: They have just experienced everything together for the last 5 years. Without one another, their fame would have NEVER been achieved. Zayn leaving can tear them apart and their fame may plummet. But most importantly, Zayn is their best friend and like a brother to them and now that IS ALL OVER.
Media: HAVING AN AMAZAYN FIELD DAY BECAUSE THEY CAN EARN THOUSANDS OFF OF HIS DEPARTURE FROM WRITING ARTICLES AND WHAT NOTS LOLOLOLOLZ (did you catch my pun)
1d concert from last year because the ones from 8th grade is way too embarrassing |
Fans: heartbroken, they have dedicated their lives to this band and now IT IS ALL OVER.
All of the fan accounts dedicated to Zayn on every social media platform exist and now their purpose IS OVER.
I can’t elaborate anymore because then I’ll start crying.
People who don’t care: “THIS IS SO ANNOYING WHY IS IT ALL OVER MY TIMELINE AND NEWS FEED IDGAF”

My perspective: in middle school (I’m SO sorry to everyone who knew me) I had the biggest obsession with Justin Bieber. But then my life way graced with the glorious band of ONE DIRECTION. I first discovered them in 2011 when they were featured in one of those magazines for tweens that told me to be on the lookout for this band because they were quickly rising in the music industry. A couple months later, I fell in love with them and I basically dedicated my life to them for the next three years (2012-2015). I created a one direction twitter, decked my room out with posters, and threw myself into the abyss of One Direction. I went to their first concert Up All Night in 8th grade with my best friend Madeline and we dressed up like Louis. Fun side story: Louis was my favorite back then and this guy that liked me bought red skinny jeans (because Louis’s signature outfit piece was red skinny jeans) and wore them on my birthday for me. Anyways, so I basically I One Directionified my life and like everyone knew me as the girl who liked them. Seriously though, even at school I could not resist not having One Direction pens, pencils, and folders. Then my life just went on with me obsessing over them on twitter and in person and knowing exactly where they were at every day for the next 2ish years. Through my one direction twitter, I met so many new people who were just like me. (When I was sad I could go on my account and be cheered up by so many funny people or watch videos of One Direction.) Because of that, I couldn’t understand why people said to be careful of people on the internet because those girls and boys were just normal teenagers (I was never catfished). I actually got to meet one of my best friends through my twitter and she visited me a couple times (my friends also met her to verify that she was a real person) and she even went to a concert with me this summer.

Cute story: last year, my friends Johnny and Belino got me a Niall Horan cardboard cutout for my birthday:’) they remembered me asking for it for Christmas
Now that it has been a couple days since the tragedy has happened, I have realized that I’m sad because One Direction has been with me for the last three/fourish years and they were what I could really rely on. I know Zayn didn’t die and the band didn’t break up but it won’t be the same without him.
P.S. Now I look back at everything I did and cringe. Im SO SO SO sorry that you guys had to suffer through that.
And also Harry Styles’s hair is disgusting af. It’s so greasy and long and not okay.
ReplyDeleteWell this is definitely one of the most entertaining blog posts I've read in a while. Your personal input along with the different perspectives to Zayn leaving really showed what people gain and lose fr his departure
Also your pictures are pretty snazzy
ReplyDeleteSometimes life's journey takes a different direction (ahaha)
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, you got me hooked with "Zayn", and secondly, I feels ya. I almost broke down myself reading this cause...ya know. I've been with our boys since the start, and I'm not leaving any time soon, so I'm right there with you. Life is complicated man....
